Fields
- Randalls Island 16B.
Take 87 South/ Major Deegan Expressway towards Queens. Follow signs for Rte
287 West - Manhattan / Queens. Follow Rte 287 West to the Triboro Bridge,
and exit and stay in the far right lane. Follow Manhattan signs to the right.
Stay in the far right lane. Go to the Toll Booth, pay and exit immediately
to the right, following sign for Randalls Island and Wards Island. Go down
the ramp and stay right following the signs for the "GOLF Range".
Stay straight and travel 0.6 mile approx. following the GOLF signs and turn
right under the trestel. Within 50 yards stay left of the GOLF entrance and
head towards the tall white flag poles - with the low red brick wall on either
side. Follow the grey fence towards the East River. (The GOLF Range is now
on your right, and the old Downing Stadium is on your left.) Turn left at
the end of the grey fence and head south on the dirt road. Go past the first
two Soccer Fields (with The East River on your right). Park near the last
field on the side of the road, this is Field A. See the map
to the field.
- Flint Park can
be accessed from the Boston Post Road by turning on to either Bronson Street
or Thompson Street, and then making a left turn on to Locust Avenue, which
runs into the Park. Flint Park can also be accessed from the Hommocks School
parking lot.
- George Washington School
at Orchard St. Take Hutchinson River Parkway to 287 West to Exit 6. At end of
ramp, make a right. Go over small bridge. At stop sign make a left. George Washington
School is on your left.
- Seely Place Elementary
School. From Mamaroneck Avenue get on Old White Plains Rd. Continue on
Mamaroneck Rd and go 1.4 miles. Turn left on Palmer Ave then turn right on
Heathcote Rd and go 1.4 miles. Turn left on White Plains Post Rd and then
turn right on Popham Rd. Continue over the railroad tracks and Bronx River
Parkway and Popham turns into Ardsley Road. Go over the hill and at the bottom
make a right onto Central Avenue and go 0.3 miles to Mt. Joy Avenue. Make
a right and go to the first stop sign and make another right. Go one block
to the school. Fields are in front of school.
- Sterling Field.
Off Boston Post Road make a right at the traffic light on Oakland Beach Ave.
About 1/3 mile on left is Disbrow Park. Sterling Field is past the tennis
court.
